The worst thing an assistant can do is act on a distracted "yeah". So Housefly tells you the consequence first, in one sentence, and only then asks.
What the sentence looks like
Ready: send the revised quote from your email to your client.
Short, specific, and written before the question, not after it. You see what will happen, from which account, to whom.
What needs a yes
- Sending a message or email in your name.
- Paying for anything.
- Changing a setting or a record in one of your accounts.
What does not
Reading your numbers, keeping your lists, preparing a brief and writing a draft. None of those leave your hands, so none of them need permission.
Saying no
"Not yet" is a full answer. Housefly does not keep asking the same question in new words.
